9 Must Do Yoga Poses And Stretches Before Sleep

Those sleepless nights can turn into nightmares if you don’t take action right now. These might also take away your freshness that is most required to keep you working for the entire day.

You might also not want those big dark circles around your eyes and make you look ugly. Getting enough sleep is something everyone wishes but only some acquires. So to get rid of these grumpy side effects here are 9 yoga poses and stretches to help you gain peaceful night filled sleep.

1. Hero pose:

  • Sit on the yoga mat by folding your knees and place your hands on your thighs.
  • By keeping your back straight, breathe in and out .
  • Do this for 20 seconds.

2. Child’s pose:

  • Start with the sitting position as mentioned above then stretch your hands to the front to touch your nose to the floor.
  • Do this for 20 seconds.

 

3. Upward dog:

  • Lay on the yoga mat facing downwards and then start stretching by raising your hand with the support of your hands.
  • Do it for 20 seconds

4. Camel pose:

  • Start by sitting on the yoga mat like the hero pose and then stretch backwards with the support of your hands.
  • Do it for 20 seconds

5. Butterfly fold:

  • Sit by placing legs to the side and bending your knees to form a butterfly shape.
  • Then stretch forward by clasping your foot together.
  • do this for 20 seconds.

6. Supine twist:

  • Lay flat on the floor facing upwards and then twist your lower body to left while your upper body twists to the right.
  • Stretch as far as possible.
  • Do this for 20 seconds.

7. Bridge pose:

  • Start by laying flat facing upwards and then raise your back slowly and make a 90 degree angle at the knees and stretch your hands to catch hold of the leg ankles.
  • Do this for 20 seconds.

8. Knee-to-chest:

  • Lay flat on the ground and then raise your leg to the forward to bring it closer to your chest by bending your knees.
  • Hold it tight by wrapping around your arms.
  • Do this for 20 seconds.

9. Corpse pose:

  • This might be the easiest and all you have to do is lay flat on the ground.
  • Do it for 20 seconds.
